Whenever I’m super-busy, I like to tell MrB that I’m a “busy businesswoman doing business.” That’s inspired by this Family Guy moment.
I don’t have a lot of photos of me in the office during my corporate days, but I’ve dug up two. This one is from 1995, when I worked for the Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition. My awesome perm was growing out. Note the basket of candy to my right. It was supposed to be for everyone, but I think I ate 99% of the contents.
I was wearing the red pantsuit by Complice (Gianni Versace used to design the line) that I bought second-hand at Allan & Suzi. I donated that one to a thrift store a long time ago, but I still have the black Versace pantsuit I’m wearing in the photo below.
This was taken in 2003 or 2004, in my office at Lehman Brothers. I can’t remember why MrB sent me the spectacular roses! Birthday? Valentine’s Day? Whatever the reason, I was clearly very happy about the flowers.
Mr B gives good flowers. I hope he has maintained the standard over the years! I suspect he has, he strikes me as one cool dude.
