Before I got dressed for New Year’s Eve, I killed a little time checking out Burberry trench coats online. When I got tired of that, I decided to look in on my stepson’s new kitten, Portia. She’s confined to his bedroom (till they depart for Chicago later today) because she’s only two months old and not ready to deal with two household dogs who have no previous cat experience. I thought she looked cute sitting on the bed, so I ran to get my camera. I was disappointed by this blah photo, complete with demon eyes …
… but luckily all great models know how to deal with incompetent photographers. Portia started striking pose after pose.

My kitty, Mlle. Zouzou, does the same “love mah tummeh” routine every day, and she’s almost 13. It never gets old!
