When it comes to holiday-appropriate dressing, I can rarely resist a Same Time, Next Year scenario. A vintage Moschino dress with a big heart on it gets worn nearly every Valentine’s Day.
Now I seem to have a Bastille Day-in-Paris favorite: the red, white and blue Alexander McQueen that I wore last year.
I wore it again yesterday for a Bastille Day dinner on a boat.
What Wendy Wore in Paris for Bastille Day 2011
Dress: Alexander McQueen (2010)
Shoes: Prada (2011)
Necklace: My own Mia locket
There were also peeps dressed in period costumes …

The ladies.

I bet this guy was jealous of the one who got to dress as a cardinal.
… beautiful scenery …

The Eiffel Tower, seen over a bridge.
… and fireworks, of course.

Voilà!
I hope to do it all again in 2012!
gorgeous! (i love that you wear the same thing, that’s hilarious and amazing. i insist on ordering the same thing every time in certain restaurants instead of trying new things. i know what i like!)

Wendy, that’s so cool that you are there!! The dress is fabulous and worthy of being repeated again and again…it fits you so well!!
Ah Paris!! Been there a little less than a month ago but already miss it tons!! And I love this McQueen dress!
Way to celebrate a French holiday, Wendy! The McQueen dress is splendid, I hope it gets lots of holidays.
If it works and you feel comfortable, it sure is a lot better than agonizing over what to wear! You’re soooo lucky to go every year! Loved your Twitter pics. Looks like you had an amazing time!
Can I borrow that Moschino dress? Thanks in advance xoxo
No prize hogs this year! I do the same thing as you, but on a smaller scale. As in, I wear the same pair of jeans all week.
Oh, Paris for quatorze julliet! I’m so envious. Dress is parfait.
love the dress, and love the pics! Paris on Bastille Day is on my to do list before I die. Along with chinese new year in hong kong
Wendy, you’re a star! You own the most exquisite clothes and enjoy them for years, you could teach these throw-away fashionistas a thing or two. x
It looks like a lot of fun!
How lucky are you to be able to go to France annually? And who can blame you for repeating. The dress is perfect for the season and the occasion. I love that you wear your things repeatedly, and you share that. If you buy things you love, why on earth wouldn’t you?
I love your Bastille Day dress! (And the big heart dress, for that matter). Hope all is well! xoxo
love the same time, next year editions! 🙂
Well, your Bastille Day celebration definitely trumps mine; it just isn’t the same celebrating it in San Francisco! You look tres chic in your McQueen dress.
Aw, the photos are beautiful. Looks like you’re having a divine time! I love love love the patchwork dress on you. So appropriate for Bastille Day and so very summery and fresh. Divine.
