I can’t believe that …
- We are more than halfway through September.
- New York Fashion Week is over, and with it my three most-anticipated events of the season: Independent Fashion Bloggers Evolving Influence conference, Stacy Lomman’s debut fashion show, and Zang Toi’s first show in the new Lincoln Center location.
- My 30-day Kickstarter campaign for my new ring designs successfully concluded and I owe all of you a major post with a thank you and information on my next steps.
- That it’s been more than five years since I got this Louis Vuitton watch. To be exact, I bought it for myself on February 10, 2005, and told MrB that it would be my Valentine’s Day gift from him.
I wrote last month that I stopped wearing watches in 2005 after leaving my corporate job, but now I’m bringing them back. I just got a new battery in this one so it’s ticking away. I’ve still got two more watches to revive.
Watch wearers unite!
So glad that one got hauled out of the archives – what a great watch!
Hi there-I love this watch, fab colour and design!!
I send you and Stacy and Zang and Jennine huge virtual martinis and champagne to toast a very successful and end of NYFW Spring ’11. Congrats!
After years of not wearing watches myself, all of a sudden I’m in love with them again too!
Ooh! That is a gorgeous watch! I’m a watch girl, feel naked without one (and earrings and eyebrow powder!) so I am totally salivating over your LV wrist candy!
Which reminds me… I have a couple of watches that need new batteries too!
That’s such a cute watch! I love the red patent strap and the little heart.
Yay to reviving the watches!
September’s been such an action packed month for you!
Love the watch. It’s so cute. I stopped wearing mine once I went back to college (clocks are everywhere on campus), but I actually pulled my watch out too yesterday.
It’s gorgeous! I love the wide banded watches you have, I think I have to find one for myself.
omg YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS:

Beautiful watch!
I can’t believe young people today aren’t wearing watches because they use their cellphones to learn the time. A watch is so much more than a timepiece — it’s jewelry and a forum for self-expression. I’ll never give them up.
No kidding – time has FLOWN this fall!
That watch is adorable, Wendy. That’s neat that you still love it years later.
I used to be a watch gal, but got out of the habit a few years ago because the watch battery is so difficult (physically) to change in my old watch. I’ve been craving a white plastic Fossil watch with a relatively plain face, but lately I’ve been wearing wrist braces much of the time when I’m working or driving, and watches unfortunately wouldn’t be a good combination.
Oh my God! Isn’t a white Fossil watch what the nice guy gave Angelina on Jersey Shore? Yes, I watch it. I’m going to blame my friend Tina for getting me into that.
You have great taste in watches! And again, red is your color.
Red watch, red lipstick!!! Groovy. And I only said groovy because my anti-spam word is “nodisco”
🙂
