Wendy,
I have to tell you how much I enjoyed your panel. I think yours was by far the best. There was real talk going on. And it even got a little heated, which I loved.

I agree with your point about not doing unethical things just because the magazines do it. It's a cop out. It is unfortunate that so much attention and pressure has been placed on bloggers, but if you were already running on good ethics, no sweat right?

I do think there are many, many blogs that started for free swag. I guess I feel that they won't survive. Ultimately, a blog is a lot of work and if you are doing it for the wrong reasons, you will burn out.

Like you, I started my blog to market my vintage clothing. It took on a life of it's own. I would never want to do anything that may even seem inappropriate because my integrity is important to me.

I am glad that you brought up the Modcloth example though. I love that you aren't afraid to tell it like it is. You're my kind of girl. But you knew that right?!

I loved Diane Pernet's presence as well. She was so aloof and in our own world. Love.

This isn't a subject I feel strongly about, but I just wanted to say I really enjoy reading your blog and your posts are truly thought-provoking, which I really appreciate. Especially when they are on subjects that don't usually cross my mind. Awesome possum.

Fabulous post and totally agree with you 100% by being upfront with your readers as soon as it happens. We're all adults - we understand what's REALLY going on.

Wow, I love how cut throat you are. You are the kind that will curse bullies out and stick up for the underdog:)

With respect to receiving gifts for advertisement, I think undisclosed freebies confuses readers and put one’s reputation at risk not to mention that freedom of expression is lost. I think people should think long term before accepting gifts.

On a side note, I want to know if I could add you to my blogroll. Thank you.
