Madonna is 49 today, and I remember listening to her when she was 26. To be exact, I remember listening to her on vinyl, in the basement of my parents’ house, with my friend Brian whom I tutored in Spanish. I also remember going to her show at Radio City instead of my high school prom. I hated that high school. Yep, we all had those rubber bracelets. I had 80 and still regret that they got lost during a move. I took the fuzzy picture of Madonna at a concert in July 2006. I went to that concert about an hour after finding Henry at the pound. Madonna’s been with me for a lot of important moments!
Hey, Madonna and me go way back too! I think she is really amazing to have lasted that long. She still intrigues me with her performances today.

I think she’s mean and nasty..she once poured ice water down my back at the Roxy and then hid laughing behind two enormous bouncers.I didn’t even know her (I was only 16) but, I remembered that she smelled really bad…like bum piss in the subway.
I saw her again years later we were alone in a bathroom together and I still wanted to kick her ass but, I chickened out because she has serious biceps now and would probably make mincemeat out of me.
